PM Kisan Non-Beneficiary Farmer: On one hand, the PM farmers across the country are waiting for the 13th installment of the scheme, while on the other hand, the process of recovery and action against ineligible farmers is also going on. According to the recently released reports, 12 lakh ineligible farmers have been identified in Assam, who are wrongly availing the installments of PM Kisan Yojana. Taking cognizance of this matter, the Government of Assam had already informed the Gauhati High Court, after which the High Court has now ordered strict action against the farmers and officers involved in these activities.

According to media reports, a public interest litigation was filed by NGO Amguri Naba Nirman Samiti, on which a division bench of Chief Justice RM Chhaya along with Justice Soumitra Saikia ordered the Assam government to take appropriate action against corrupt officials. In his order issued on November 25, Justice Soumitra Saikia has also said that henceforth the state government will have to follow the guidelines and rules of PM Kisan Yojana to provide financial assistance to the beneficiaries of PM Kisan.
11.72 lakh farmers caught in February
The Gauhati High Court has also directed the administration to consider a one-member inquiry report, which was prepared in the year 2020 under the guidance of former Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah. Let us tell you that citing this report, Gunajit Kashyap, Joint Secretary, Agriculture Department informed the court in an affidavit in February that 11.72 lakh ineligible people got benefits under the PM-Kisan scheme.
734 fake farmers also connected with the portal
In the order issued to the Government of Assam, the High Court has also said that “It is on record that 98 Agriculture Development Officers along with 16 District Agriculture Officers are under departmental inquiry so far. In this case, the District Agriculture Officer of Bongaigaon district has filed an FIR.” On the basis of which many people have been arrested.These are the same 734 people who were wrongly linked to pmkisan.gov.in website.
